Courtney Self

Courtney Self is CEO and Broker-Owner of Harcourts Hunter Mason Realty, the women-owned brokerage she founded in Redondo Beach in February 2010. With more than 30 years in real estate - beginning part-time at Century 21 Vision in September 1986 - Courtney has built one of the South Bay's most respected and decorated teams.

She is an Auction Accredited Broker, Certified Paralegal (CP), and a trained mediator from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Her courtroom-caliber preparation and negotiation skills make her the first call for complex transactions: divorce, probate, trust sales, REO, short sales, and multi-unit dispositions across South Bay, West LA, Long Beach, and North Orange County.

Courtney's path to real estate was anything but ordinary. After starting at Century 21, she paused her career to fly internationally as a Pan American World Airways flight attendant from 1988 to 1991 - she was on a flight from Costa Rica to Miami the day Pan Am shut down. She returned to real estate full-time in 1992 at ERA Gem Realty, earned her BSBA from University of Phoenix, and studied law at Southwestern Law School.

Today she is also the author of 7 Strategies for Real Estate Success, a featured speaker, and an expert witness in real estate litigation. Through her co-owned staging company, Serendipity Staging & Redesign (Torrance, est. 2016), she extends full-service support from listing prep through closing.
